I used to offer advice on "Teen advice websites", many of which no longer exist. I found that I was researching the same things and often offering the same advice, repeatedly. So I started putting all the information in one place, Smart 2 Ask.
This is a purely volunteer driven site, and I am the sole contributor except for the forums. I run five other websites as well as having a full time job, two young adult children and now grandchildren! I have been a Sunday School teacher and am still a Scout Leader in Waterloo, Ontario.
So why should any Teens or young adults listen to what someone else's father... grandfather, of all things! - offers? Well, of course they don't have to. And I know that often advice is not taken which is OK - you need to adapt advice and information to your situation, to your life. On the other hand, you aren't my kid. I have no vested interest in your life and don't need to try to steer you in any direction except the one best for you. I'm not tangled up in family politics.I don't care what you look like or dress like. And ultimately you can take advice or information from this website - or leave it. It is up to you.
